Hiellen is a point break wave at the mouth of the Hiellen River as it empties over North beach. The point is made up of volcanic rock formations through which the ocean has created blowholes.

You can watch the waves journey toward the beach pass to your right as you sit on the rocks. Its a very popular place with locals for surfing, kayaking and paddle boarding.
